Richard was born on May 3, 1953, in Bartlesville, to Charles Postrach and Bessie Bennett Postrach. A lifelong resident of Bartlesville, Richard spent his life in the community he loved. He enjoyed many memories of his friends and family on the 1300 block of Hickory, also known as “Postrach Street”.  He proudly attended College High with the class of 1972.

Richard was employed by Reda Pump/Schlumberger for more than 30 years, where he built many lasting friendships throughout his career.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mitzi McBride Postrach of Bartlesville; his daughter, Rachel Finn and her husband Hank, and their children Hailey and Cash of League City, Texas.  He is also survived by his stepson, Martin “Marty” Agnew and his wife Celina, and their children Eli, Cortez, and Romeo of Los Angeles, California; and his stepdaughter, Amanda “Mandy” Robertson and her son, Payton Robertson of Bartlesville.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Postrach and Bessie Bennett Postrach; his grandparents who lovingly raised him, Elmer T. Bennett and Bonnie Bennett; and one brother, Randall “Randy” Postrach.

Richard enjoyed many interests throughout his life, including hunting, classic cars, collecting guitars, and watching sports. In recent years, he especially enjoyed his daily car rides, eating snacks, listening and singing along to classic country and rock and roll music, playing with his fur baby “Penny Lane” and cheering on his beloved Oklahoma City Thunder.

Above all, Richard’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandsons, who lovingly called him “Papa Ricky.” He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard’s life with family and friends will be announced in the near future.
