William Raymond Wendt

William (Bill) Raymond Wendt was 71 years old. He lived in Pryor, Oklahoma. Bill passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Kathy Laughlin, his wife, by his side, on March 18, 2026.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 27, 1954, at 5:12 AM to Joan Louise Wendt and Raymond Charles Wendt. Bill grew up on a farm in Racine County, Wisconsin, and his favorite place was a cabin his family owned in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. Bill graduated from Valders High School.
When it came to what Bill did for a living, he was a jack of all trades. He knew how to do a little bit of everything. Later on in life, he opened a pet store called The Fishery.
William Wendt met the love of his life, Kathy Sue Wendt, in 2002 at Southern Style in Pryor, Oklahoma, where Bill noticed another man pursuing Kathy and decided he was better suited. They were excited to start their new life together. The two were married on Christmas in 2006. William Wendt had 10 children: Robbie Wendt, Amy Wendt, Chris Wendt, and his spouse Samantha Wendt; Raymond Wendt; Joseph Wendt; Kevin Laughlin and Ronnie Laughlin and his spouse Lori Laughlin; Elizabeth Richardson and her spouse Ryan Richardson; Katrina Wendt and her spouse Joseph Soliday; and lastly, Barbara Wendt and her spouse Rodney Maher.
Bill Wendt has 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Bill loved his grandchildren so much; he would do whatever he had to in order to make them smile and laugh.
William Wendt will always be remembered for how he could fix anything and how he could make anyone feel like family. We’ll always imagine hearing him say, “Ohh, whatever,” just one more time. He loved to go to Florida because he loved the beach; anywhere there was an ocean, that’s where he wanted to be. Not to mention he was an avid animal lover. We couldn’t have asked for a better dad, husband, grandfather, and brother, and we’ll miss Bill every day.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
William Raymond Wendt was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Kathleen Wendt, his mom, Joan Louise Wendt, and his dad, Raymond Charles Wendt. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and his brother and sisters.
