Denice Diane Feeney, age 70, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Denice was born on January 11, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Sam and Grace (Harrison) Babcock. She graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa and went on to build a dedicated career working in tax departments for several companies, including Dollar Thrifty Rental Car and Blackhawk.
Denice had a deep love for life and a natural curiosity about the world, especially the weather. She often spoke of her dream of becoming a reporter—or even a tornado chaser. She found joy in her work and took pride in everything she did.
To know Denice was truly to love her. She had a warm and welcoming spirit, often introducing herself with a smile as “De-Nice one,” playfully embracing the uniqueness of her name. She cherished time spent with family, whether watching movies and television shows or simply being together.
Music was another passion of Denice’s, reflected in the names she lovingly chose for her children—Carly, after Carly Simon, and James, after James Taylor. Her greatest joy in life was being “MiMi” to her beloved granddaughters. She treasured every moment spent playing hide-and-seek, rocking out making music or dancing, drawing, playing games, and sharing conversations about their dreams and imaginations.
Denice will be remembered as one of the most positive and selfless people to ever touch the lives of others. She lived her life with love, kindness, and a steadfast commitment to those around her—always putting others first, even until the very end.
In accordance with Denice’s wishes, no formal service will be held. She didn’t want sadness to mark her passing but instead encouraged her family to “pack her bags and say she went on vacation.” Her family will honor her spirit with a private celebration of life, remembering her as she would have wanted—on the best vacation imaginable.
