Nora West was born on August 10, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, to George and Sara Marshall. She passed away on October 2, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her and a lifetime of memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Nora was a woman who knew how to live. Free-spirited, strong-willed, and full of life, she made the most of the time she was given. She lived life on her own terms, embraced new challenges, and never let age tell her what she could or couldn't do.

For 38 years, Nora worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), dedicating much of her life to caring for others. But Nora had plenty of interests outside of her career, too. She was a talented pool player who served as captain of several pool leagues, and just when you might have thought she'd done enough to prove she could do anything she set her mind to, Nora earned her black belt in karate at the age of 68.

Nora shared 37 years of marriage with her husband, Thomas West, before his passing. Together, they built a life and a family that remained an important part of her story.

Above all, Nora lived fully, right up to the very end. She didn't believe in simply watching life pass by. She believed in getting out there, trying things, enjoying herself, and making the most of every opportunity. Her life was a reminder that adventure doesn't have an expiration date and that a little determination can carry you a long way.

Nora's memory will live on through her two children, Melissa and Tommy Mills of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Chris and Sonja Donley of San Antonio, Texas; her seven grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren.
