Judy Ruth Sisler (Blakemore) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026.
Born on May 15, 1939, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Judy filled her life with faith, family, creativity, and love. In 1957, Judy graduated from Central High School and was a proud Central Brave. Judy married the love of her life, Jim Sisler in 1965. Judy and Jim were blessed with two daughters, Anne Marie Sisler and Kimberly Rae Sutton, who gave her great joy.
But nothing delighted Judy more than becoming Nana. She poured her heart into loving her six grandchildren. She celebrated each of their unique personalities, cheered on their accomplishments and prayed faithfully for them. At the arrival of her first great-grandson in Nov. 2025, she was thrilled.
Judy's faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of everything she did. As a devoted member of Nogales Avenue Baptist Church, she loved worshiping alongside her church family and found strength, encouragement, and purpose in her relationship with the Lord.
Judy possessed a wonderfully creative spirit. She expressed her love through clever handcrafted, personalized cards for birthdays and life's special occasions. She found joy in crafting and quilting, delight in watching birds, and peace while tending her flowers, even in her final days. She had a whimsical eye for beauty and a gift for making everyday moments feel special.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Sisler; her parents, Lacy Howell Blakemore and Ida Blakemore Reynolds; her Daddy, Ernest Reynolds; her brothers Jimmy Lee Blakemore, Bobby Rex Blakemore, and Lewis Reynolds; her sister Judy Ann Casillas; and many other cherished loved ones who welcomed them home.
She is survived by her daughters, Anne Sisler and Kim Sutton; her dear son-in-law, Scott Sutton; her brother Fred Blakemore; her sister Sue Richardson; her brother Jim Reynolds Sr.; her grandchildren, Kamryn Pollard (Thomas), Elizabeth Hankins, Hallie Olcomendy (David), Lauren Sutton, Luke Hankins, and Maggie Sutton; her great-grandson, Shepherd Pollard; and a large extended family and her dear friends from many walks of life who were blessed by her kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith.
Those who knew Judy will remember not only the beautiful things she created with her hands, but the way she made people feel— she did this with kindness, generosity, encouragement, laughter, a little bit of bossiness, and a heart overflowing with gratitude to God. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and deeply cherished. That is the legacy she leaves behind.
A come-and-go celebration of Judy's colorful life will be held at The Summit Club on Sunday, October 18th from 2:00-4:30, with a program at 3:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judy's memory to The Eddie Sutton Foundation. https://givebutter.com/inmemoryofjudyruthsisler
