In December 1970, Jimmy married the love of his life, Cameran Ankrom. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and faithfulness. Cameran preceded him in death in September 2018, after nearly 48 years of marriage.

Jimmy was a man of strength and unwavering character. He was known for being loyal, hardworking, and an exceptional provider who put his family first. In his free time, he found great joy in woodworking, creating beautiful pieces with patience, precision, and care.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cameran Chesser; his parents, A.W. "Jack" Chesser and Reba (Downs) Chesser; his brother, Don Chesser; and many other cherished family members and loved ones.

Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Keith Chesser and his wife, Judy, and Tom Chesser; his sister, Carole Lichti; his son, Jimmy Chesser, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly; and his daughter, Courtney Alden and her husband, Dave.

He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Chase Kee, Ashley Kee, Scott Kee, Mathew Kee, Dexter Chesser, Calee Chesser, Jacob Hale, and Justin Hale along with many beloved great-grandchildren who brought him tremendous pride and joy.

Jimmy's greatest legacy is not only the family he loved so deeply, but also the lives he touched through his sense of humor, kindness, and example. Whether in the classroom, the workshop, or around the family table, he taught those around him the value of hard work, honesty, and compassion.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his influence, his love, and the lessons he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives he enriched.
