Allen Arthur Taylor, 74, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026.
Allen was born on June 7, 1952, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Hermas and Doris (Howe) Taylor. He graduated from Sequoyah High School, Claremore, Oklahoma. After graduating in 1970 he joined and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In 1976 he was honorable discharged.
Allen spent many years working for Mitsubishi, in Illinois. He enjoyed music, bingo, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Known for his friendly nature, Allen never met a stranger. Whether at the Claremore Skilled Nursing & Therapy Center, or simply around town, he loved visiting with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, HA and Doris Taylor; his daughter, Misty Dawn Taylor; his brothers, Robert (Bob) Taylor and Walter Taylor.
He is survived by his son, Miles Arthur Taylor of Creve Coeur, Illinois. His step son's Mike Lysol and Wes Ratliff of North Pekin, Illinois; his sister, Geraldine (Geri) and husband Robert (Bob) Reid of New Bern, North Carolina ; special family, Laura and Jerry Wharton of Claremore, Oklahoma; Amy Deiss of North Pekin, Illinois; Valorie Lemons Look of North Pekin, Illinois: Mark and Reeva Reid of North Carolina; Micheal and Julienne Reid of Raleigh, North Carolina; John Taylor and Lloyd Randall Taylor of Langley, Oklahoma; Micheal Taylor of Bixby, Oklahoma; David Taylor of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Lesa Taylor of Jay, Oklahoma and Kristy Taylor of Cleveland, Oklahoma and many extended family members and friends.
