June 29, 2026
Janice Lee (Ogburn) Ingram departed this world on Monday, June 29th 2026 for her eternal home with our Lord and Savior.
Jan was born in Oklahoma City on June 19th, 1950 to Tom and Letha Ogburn. Though mostly a born and bred “Okie”; in the late 50’s, the Ogburns moved to Modesto, California. By the early 60’s they were right back in Oklahoma where she remained for the majority of her life.
Jan attended and graduated from Tulsa Central High School, excelling in Office Administration. A few years after graduating she met and married her first husband and had three daughters, Christi, Andrea, and Shelli. After spending several years as a single mom, Jan met and married Chris Ingram who would be her forever husband.
In the early 2000’s, Jan and Chris moved to Colorado for a few years, then on to Arkansas to be near her parents. She worked at the University of Arkansas School of Law and had great rapport with her colleagues and the students. Jan and Chris remained in Arkansas until they both retired and eventually moved back home to Oklahoma.
Jan was a lot of fun. She was a great bowler and had a big trophy to prove it! She was a pro at embarrassing her daughters by being goofy or dancing “The Mashed Potato” infront of their friends. She was a great cook and always very involved with her girls’ and grandkids school and sporting events.
Jan had an amazing singing voice. She and her siblings (Allen and Nancy) would impress everyone as they sang with beautiful harmonies through the years. Jan and her two daughters (Christi and Shelli) also found so much joy singing harmonies together. Especially Christmas carols.
Jan also loved the outdoors. She enjoyed snow skiing and was excellent at water skiing! She especially loved hunting and fishing, which she and Chris did every chance they got. She enjoyed laughing and spending time with friends and her extended family. And yes, we must mention how much she loved going to the casinos!
Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family. She took every chance she could to be with her daughters and grandkids. She will be greatly missed.
Jan was preceded in death by her dear infant daughter Andrea Hudson and her loving parents, Tom and Letha Ogburn.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Chris Ingram; her daughters Christi Monroe (Stephen) and Shelli Jones (Justin); grandchildren Mallori Simmons (Lawson), Braden Richardson (Brittney), Miriam Jones, Milo Monroe, and Archer Monroe, one great-grandson Jordan; her brother Allen Ogburn (Carol), sisters Judy Johnson (Mike), and Nancy Endecott; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly; and three very spoiled GrandDogs Bebe, Coconut, and Shepherd, and 10 spoiled GrandChickens.
