Donna Ray Kerr
March 6, 1943 - September 6, 2025
Donna was born in Miami, Az. on March 6, 1943 to Sammie Lee Bailey and Willie Ray Richardson. L.D. Gallatin was brought into her life, when he married her mother, Sammie and was her "daddy". Donna married Willie Q. Kerr and that union brought three children.
She was very talented, oil painting, interior design, sewing, leather work and doll making, a hippie, who created beautiful things and encouraged others to create their type of art. There was always music and dancing when she had the chance. She lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Hawaii, living on her own terms. She loved to travel and was always ready for a trip. She was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation and loved her Native American heritage.
She worked in interior design, was a talented bartender and club manager/owner and ended up in the private duty home health field. She enjoyed caring for others. Her patients were like family. She allowed her children to follow their dreams and goals and was always very proud of them. She may not have agreed with one of the decisions they made but always supported them.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Theresa.
She is survived my her children, Billy Kerr (Los Angeles, CA), Brent Kerr and wife Heidi (Cushing, Ok) and Michelle Kerr (Bartlesville, OK). She was affectionately known as Nona to her Grandchildren Danielle Carrano, Clayton Kerr, Ashley Thomas, Lucas Kerr-Wall and Rayahna Knight, 8 great children, numerous nieces and nephews. She had many "adopted" kids and grandchildren who she loved like her own.
