Mary Elizabeth Buoy

Aug 22, 1949 - Feb 22, 2025

She loved. Her greatest loves in life included her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her boys, her grandchildren, her siblings, and her parents. She loved cooking and was good at it. She loved growing plants, especially tomatoes, and had a gift for it. She also loved fishing. She set a record once for the largest bass caught in a Bartlesville pond. Mary Elizabeth Buoy, age 75, died on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

Mary, known to many as Suzie, was born in Oglesby, Oklahoma, on August 22, 2949 to Stella Buoy (Johnson) and Harold Buoy. She was the proud mother of three boys and though she loved them dearly, on of her favorite roles was that of grandmother and great-grandmother. She treasured getting to spend with her family. She also enjoyed the many fun times spent with each of her siblings over the years. Suzie worked for years providing private duty nursing care to many people in the area. She was an amazing cook and was known for her homemade chicken and noodles and secret recipe spaghetti.

Suzie is preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Harold Buoy, her brothers, Carl, Jack, Ben, Jim, and Johnny Buoy, and her sisters, Joyce Hartness and Maudine Hindman.

Suzie is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Brov and Patsy Buoy, three sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Robbi Scott, Billy and Lori Scott, and James and Kylee Scott, six grandchildren, Colton, Logan, Hailey, Hayden, Peyton, and Manning Scott, four great-grandchildren, Kinzlee, Dason, Mayleona, and Matteo Scott, and several nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
