Juanita Collette Poyner Leigh

October 30, 2026
Juanita Collette Poyner Leigh, age 68, was born on December 2, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and passed away on October 30, 2026, in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Juanita was a beautiful soul with a heart full of love. She had a way of making people feel loved and welcomed, and she cared deeply for everyone who crossed her path. Her heart was generous, her love was genuine, and her presence touched the lives of so many. She loved with everything she had, and the kindness she showed others will never be forgotten.
Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Juanita is now at peace in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We take comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope that, through God’s grace, this goodbye is not forever. While we will miss her dearly here on earth, we rejoice in knowing that she has been reunited in Heaven with the loved ones who went before her.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Gary Leigh; long time boyfriend Paul Woodard; her mother, Claudia Poyner; her father, Charles Poyner; her sisters, Terry Niman and Shelly Smith; and her son, Gary “Joe” Leigh.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Claudia Leigh and fiancé Gino Scott; her granddaughter, Samantha Spencer and her son Kysten Spencer; her grandson, Chris Leigh and wife Maddy Leigh and their son Shiloh; Her grandson Gary Seaton and girlfriend Amy Nash; her granddaughter Noelani combs (Kaitlyn Leigh) her sister, Vivian Wilson and fiancé Jeff Davis; and many nieces and nephews and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Her family was an important part of her life, and the love she shared with them will continue to live on through the memories they hold close to their hearts.
Though Juanita’s earthly journey has come to an end, her love and legacy will remain with us forever. We will remember her for her big heart, her love for others, and the countless ways she made a difference in the lives of those around her. The world was a little brighter because she was in it, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
As we say goodbye, we hold tightly to God’s promises and find peace in the words of Scripture:
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” - Revelation 21:4
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalms 34:18
We take comfort in knowing that Juanita is no longer suffering, that she is resting in eternal peace, and that she is finally home with the Lord. One day, by God’s grace, we hold on to the hope of a joyful reunion where there will be no more goodbyes.
Until we meet again, Juanita, you will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, and your love a gift that will remain in our hearts for all eternity.
