Gloria Gail McNeely

July 13, 1942 - April 1, 2024

Our loving mother, Gloria Gail McNeely, entered into God’s kingdom on April 1st, 2024. Gail was 81 at the time of her death.

Gail was born to Louie Ray and Mary Carmen Bettis on July 13, 1942 in Norman, Oklahoma. Gail married the love of her life, Archie McNeely on June 10, 1971. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage before Archie’s passing in 2022.

Gail spent many years giving to others with her nursing career eventually retiring from New Boston Nursing Home in New Boston, Texas.

After retirement, she and Archie relocated to Siloam Springs AR to be closer to their children. They were active members of Gum Springs Baptist Church there for many years.

In 2023 she relocated to Ramona Oklahoma. She became a President of the Ramona chapter of Senior Citizen Center. She was also a very active member with volunteer work at her church at Tri-County Baptist Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma.

She loved the Lord and loved spending time with her family. Her favorite thing to do was to cook meals for all of her friends and family.

Gail was preceded in death by her loving husband Archie McNeely; her parents, Carmen & Louie Bettis; 3 sisters, Tommie Johnson, Sue Self, and Alta Schmer, and a son Ricky Dean McNeely.

She is survived by a son, Robin “Rob” McNeely of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and a daughter, Shelly Jordan of Ramona, Oklahoma.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren: Teri Thetford, Clayson Thetford, Kinsley Thetford, Cashe Thetford, Dillan McNeely, Hattie McNeely, River McNeely, Kyla McNeely, Robbie McNeely, Kurtis Quick, Conner Miner, Buck McNeely, Oakley McNeely, Judy Gail McNeely, Chandler Jordan, Mason Jordan, Connor Jordan, and Roman Jordan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest at Fairmount Cemetery, next to Archie McNeely, in Gentry, Arkansas.

After Gail moved to my home town, we made lots of great memories together during our high school years. Then we stayed in touch all these many years. She is now rejoicing in Heaven along with her husband Archie and son Rick, whom she was missing very much. Prayers of peace and comfort to her family. - Gloria Waymire

Ms. Gail was a sweet friend she will be missed. Many great memories of her while I lived in Camden Alabama. - Debbie Mayo

May God’s compassionate love comfort you and Rob & all the family honoring your Mom’s life, her marriage with your Dad, and the love & life lessons they shared with all of us. I will always cherish the love, generosity, and acceptance I received as a part of your family. I know we are all much better people for all they taught by example and selflessly provided us. Their “loving legacy” lives on in us all. With highest regards & deepest sympathy - Mike Pyle, Houston, TX

My thoughts and prayers are with you Shelly. - Jackie Smith
