Faith Lovelace

1965 - 2024

“You never know which Faith is going to show up”, a quote often made by her mother, LaVerne. Faith did not mask her emotions. You may meet a charming and entertaining Faith or a distant and dismissive Faith. Throughout her life, Faith kept us guessing, and in death, Faith did not disappoint — as she left us in shock, amazement, and with numerous questions.

While her father was stationed at Army base Fort Cavazos, formerly known as Fort Hood, in Killeen, Texas, on May 18, 1965, Faith Lovelace was born to Booker Lovelace and LaVerne Lovelace (McKesson). Faith attended Spiro Public Schools, Spiro, OK, before completing her studies in education at the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, OK, and obtaining her graduate degree at Texas Women’s University, Denton, TX.

Faith, also an Army veteran, loved learning and worked as a licensed school psychologist. Known for her great attention to detail, Faith was generous and also a giver— Faith enjoyed giving her “colorful” insight and life advice. Faith, a self-proclaimed, “Hoelogist” (one who is an expert in studying the behavior of a whore), would eagerly share her relationship advice with her much loved nieces and nephews, especially while treating them to a drink or cigar at the bar or a meal at Cracker Barrel.

With her signature quote, “F#!% the BS”, Faith, preferred a life of solitude. After her divorce, Faith would quote the show, Love Connection, saying, “l will stay on my own, Chuck.” followed by, “I can do bad by myself.”

Faith was preceded in death by her parents and elder brother, Douglas. Faith leaves siblings Anthony McKesson, Fort Smith, AR; Yvonne Eubanks, Mansfield, TX; Grace Lovelace, Spiro, OK; April (Joseph) Thomas, Mansfield, TX and Aljon Lovelace, Arlington, TX, along with her nieces and nephews to mourn and continue to share her memory.

Faith was the type of person either she liked you or she didn’t. She always kept it 100% ! Well I guess I was doing something right because she loved me and my children.
