Carol Lynn Dix
June 14, 1942 - December 17, 2025
Carol Lynn Dix, a woman of faith, professional grace, and an adventurous spirit, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 17, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma. She was 83 years old.
Central to Carol’s life was her unwavering love for the Lord Jesus. Her faith was her compass, providing strength through every season. She cherished her church families and lived as a testament to the Gospel. Her life showed her personal relationship with Christ. Carol was blessed to share her life with two wonderful men. On May 23, 1970, she married Russell Dix. They shared 28 years of devotion and built a life together until his passing on December 3, 1998.
Later in life, she found love again and married Clarence “Bud” Hogan on February 2, 2000. They enjoyed twenty years of marriage and companionship until Bud’s passing on November 23, 2020.
Carol’s career reflected both her sharp intellect and her love for people. She began her professional life as a freelance legal secretary, a role she held with great skill and dedication. Later, she followed a calling for adventure and spent many years as a flight attendant mainly for American Airlines. She took great pride in her work in the skies, bringing her characteristic warmth and care to travelers across the world.
While she spent her final years in Oklahoma to be near family, Carol lived the vast majority of her adult life in Phoenix, Arizona. She truly loved the Valley of the Sun, flourishing in the desert landscape and the community she built there over many decades.
Carol is survived by her loving siblings: Her brother, Jeb Hunter and Her sister, Marion Shaw.
Carol’s earthly journey is complete, and she now rests in the presence of her Savior. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and service and arrived at her eternal home. She will be remembered for her devotion to her Savior. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and service.
