Alan was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma and lived his entire childhood in Fletcher, Oklahoma. Alan graduated from Fletcher High School in 2005 and then attended several colleges including Cameron University, the University of Oklahoma, and finally the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City, where he graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science. 

In 2007 he married Jennifer, and in 2010 they added to the size of their family with the addition of their son, Isaiah.

After obtaining his degree Alan continued working in funeral homes in the Southwest Oklahoma area until moving with his family to Bolivar, Missouri, to take a new position as a funeral director. While there Alan, Jennifer, and Isaiah made a home and found many life-long friends. However, in 2018 new opportunities brought the family back to Oklahoma where they settled in Tulsa.

Alan began working for a local funeral home, but in 2023 pursued a dream of opening his own funeral home where he could operate in the way he wanted, serving people A Better Way.
